Place in a 3 litre saucepan
2cups of water
1 cup caster
sugar
750 ml of a light red wine e.g. pinot noir
12 whole cloves
12 black
peppercorns
3 cinnamon sticks
the zest of one lemon
stir over gentle heat until sugar is dissolved, bring to a gentle boil for 10 minutes add 2 cups of mixed dried fruit of
choice e.g. apricots, apples prunes, figs, peaches
simmer for 10 -15 minutes until fruit is tender, |

Serve with Greek yoghurt.
