The Sooty Owl roosts in the dark of the
Rainforest canopy. I have difficulty sighting him, usually even then, is
only seen
as a dark shape against the backlight of the sky through the canopy.
Rohan Bilney who is studying the powerful and Sooty owls who live in this
area took the photo above, it is a male Sooty Owl on his roost in the gully. |
